4.1 Construct simple, visually effective documented information, facilitating automated data entry, its use and the ability to synthesize.

When designing a documented information medium, it's a good idea to bring together all the players and users around the medium, to get them involved and to help them make the medium their own. The Environment, like Quality, takes place on the shop floor, not in the office.

The medium must enable a clear understanding of the data to be entered or processed.

It must also be easy to process (simple data entry, automated re-entry into other media, clear visibility, data relevance, etc.).
