INTRODUCTION
Despite France's stringent regulations on occupational risk prevention (see Livre V of the French Labor Code), the number of workplace accidents has not fallen since 2013, with the number of fatalities even rising by 35% between 2013 and 2019 (source: Photographie statistique de la sinistralité au travail en France selon le sexe entre 2001 et 2019 , published in June 2022 by ANACT).
What's more, quality of life at work (QWL) and well-being have become elements that organizations must take into account to maintain their attractiveness and avoid damaging their image in the eyes of their stakeholders, particularly their youngest workers and future workers. Today, the aim of an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) is no longer simply to prevent bodily injury and occupational illness, but to improve working conditions in all their dimensions, by involving all the organization's players. The occupational health and safety management system thus enables us to continuously monitor overall occupational health and safety performance, at all levels of responsibility within the company.
In this file, you will find :
the reasons for introducing an OHSMS ;
examples of OHS standards;
ways of integrating the OHS management system into your organization.
