5. Mistakes to avoid
5.1 Don't build a system that's heavy, complex and difficult to use
Building an EMS is a difficult exercise, because we're always afraid we haven't taken everything into account.
The construction or redesign of an EMS must meet the requirements of the standard and the needs of the organization, no more and no less. The two biggest "projects" are linked to environmental analysis and conformity assessment: management and the QSE department are the guarantors and key players.
All the other elements of the EMS are derived from this. Planning, communication and the involvement of everyone in the process are necessary to organize and coordinate the contribution of each player in this EMS. Project mode will be favored for success.
