6. Manage output data

Your design project "produces" a set of deliverables intended for others, for action. These actors include company departments (methods, production purchasing, sales, after-sales service). There are also the customers who will use the future products.

Design deliverables can be :

• product BOM(s) for purchasing and manufacturing ;

• general and detailed drawings for purchasing, manufacturing and after-sales service;

• electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams... ;

• software to be installed in electronic equipment;

• installation and commissioning instructions ;

• controls and product acceptance criteria, for use during manufacturing and commissioning;...
