2. Identify the success factors of the FMECA approach

2.1 Building the work team

FMECA is based on group work, collective reflection and the experience of participants. You therefore need to set up a working group, choosing participants according to their :

  • experience ;

  • knowledge of the problem ;

  • technical level ;

  • ability to work as part of a team.

The workgroup must be led by a facilitator, who is responsible for monitoring the results. This person need not necessarily be the quality manager. On the contrary, for the sake of accountability, the facilitator should be chosen from among the functions represented in the analysis, and obviously not always...
