4. Our advice

4.1 Reframe your findings throughout the interviews

Auditing is an exercise in communication. It's important to make sure you've understood what the auditee is telling you. It's also important that the auditee is reassured by your assessment of the situation, whether in terms of strengths or non-conformities. On this occasion, you also validate the formulation of a non-conformity. This is essential, as a poorly formulated finding can give rise to misunderstanding and be poorly considered by the auditee.
