3. What data and information are required for analysis?

Beforehand, it is important to collect all the data and information needed to feed the analysis, and to evaluate the various failure modes on the basis of factual elements. These elements could be :

  • functional analysis of a product ;

  • value analysis ;

  • process description (diagram, Flow Chart, Turtle, etc.) ;

  • schematic diagram of a production tool, Grafcet...

  • legal and regulatory specifications, customer requirements ;

  • customer rating criteria (if any) ;

  • etc.
