1. Find out about the effects of decommissioning your facilities

The term "declassification" is used when a previously classified facility becomes a non-classified facility, following the deletion of a nomenclature item.

When your facilities are decommissioned, they are no longer subject to the legislation governing classified installations. As soon as the decree modifying the nomenclature is published, the general requirements or those of the prefectoral decree cease to apply, without any special formalities.

The term "upgrade" is not used to describe the transformation of a non-classified facility into a classified one.
