Installation classified for environmental protection (ICPE)

Any industrial or agricultural operation likely to create risks or cause pollution or nuisance, particularly for the health and safety of local residents.

ICPE nomenclature

Catalog of activities covered by legislation on classified facilities, by heading, to determine the facility's classification status.

Classification system

Administrative regime that determines the procedure applicable to the commissioning of a classified facility. There are 5 classification regimes: declaration (D), declaration with periodic inspection (DC), registration (E), authorization (A) and authorization with servitudes (AS).
