2. Operator
The operator is defined as the person responsible for the operation of a classified facility, from its creation to its final shutdown or transfer. He must demonstrate that he complies at all times with technical operating specifications and does not create harmful or even irreversible consequences in terms of the environment, public health or safety, whether in chronic or accidental operation.
The operator of a classified facility may be a natural or legal person, public or private.
As a natural person, the law on classified facilities requires the operator to identify himself through his surname, first names, gender, date of birth and address, or even his SIRET number and APE code.
