5. Mistakes to avoid

5.1 Don't confuse delegation of authority with delegation of signature

The sole purpose of a delegation of signature is to enable the beneficiary to sign certain documents (e.g., contracts for the hiring of employees) on behalf of the head of the company. Unlike delegation of authority, it does not release the delegating manager from criminal liability.
