3.1 Get to know the local players

You operate your plant in a local environment: you need to know the players.

The main ones are the environmental inspector in charge of your facility and the mayor of the municipality in which your facility is located.

The aim is twofold: on the one hand, it enables you to build up a relationship of trust with those who are called upon to inspect you, and on the other, it enables you to learn about and master your regulatory obligations, as well as the help and advice that may be available to you.
