7. Mistakes to avoid

7.1 Don't prevent the plant inspectorate from monitoring aging installations

Compliance with the deadline for completing the initial assessment is verified on a spot-check basis through a campaign of inspection visits to the facilities concerned. This is a blitz by the Classified Facilities Inspectorate, as provided for in the circular of December 28, 2011 on national action themes for the Classified Facilities Inspectorate and the prevention of anthropogenic risks. The circular sets a target of 300 inspections on this theme at national level in 2012. These actions can be coupled with other on-site inspections.
