5. Mistakes to avoid
5.1 Don't try to hide or minimize a reality during the inspection visit.
You may be tempted to try to hide or minimize a negative situation: for example, an undeclared incident or an exceedance of the classification threshold for which you are declared, or registered or authorized. This is a dangerous game, since the inspection may be prompted by a report from an employee, a neighbor or a supplier. If the inspection confirms the facts thus brought to the inspector's attention, you make it inevitable that administrative and/or penal sanctions will be applied, with potentially serious consequences for your business.
The inspector will be more inclined to try to find a concerted solution to remedy the situation, if you have first alerted him to the difficulty...
