4. Mistakes to avoid

4.1 Don't forget to include this point in your operating report.

This is an essential point in the IPPC directive, and is also covered by French ICPE regulations. If you fail to include this point, you risk blocking the examination of your application, and the inspectorate may ask you for further information. Don't forget that the aim of site remediation is to ensure compliance with the "polluter pays" principle.
