5. Mistakes to avoid

5.1 Don't try to hide or minimize reality

You may be tempted to hide or minimize a negative situation: for example, an unreported incident, or exceeding the classification threshold for which you are declared, registered or authorized.

It's a dangerous game, since the inspection may be prompted by a report from an employee, a neighbor or a supplier. If the inspection confirms the facts thus brought to the inspector's attention, you run the risk of administrative and/or penal sanctions, which could have serious consequences for your business.

The inspector will be more inclined to try to find a concerted solution to remedy the situation, if you have first alerted him to the difficulty encountered and shown him that technical solutions...
