5. Our advice
5.1 When using a database to quantify the probability of ignition, make sure that its scope covers the case under study.
It is necessary to be able to demonstrate that the values taken from the database are consistent with the case studied. The DREAL Inspector may wish to know the origin of the database (is it an internationally recognized database?), what products are covered by the database (does the product under study have similar flammability characteristics to the products covered by the database?)
