6. Mistakes to avoid

6.1 Don't delay analysis of SDS changes

A late or incomplete analysis can put you in breach of the law, or lead to supply disruptions.

To avoid these situations, you can draw up a control procedure to be implemented by employees receiving MSDSs (buyers, reception...) which will enable you to :

• identify updated SDSs (date, index);

• identify the chapters concerned by the updates (see section 16);

• communicate the SDS to the people in charge of analysis (see Receiving an SDS before taking delivery of the product: look at and check the key information
