5. Mistakes to avoid

5.1 Don't forget to include the land clearing application in your environmental permit application.

Failure to obtain authorization for land clearing is an offence punishable by a fine of 150 euros per square meter of cleared woodland (article L. 313-1 of Code forestier ).

This penalty may be pronounced against the owner, land users, beneficiaries of clearing operations, contractors or other persons responsible for carrying out said clearing operations.
