 INTRODUCTION

Employers, who are responsible for the health and safety of their employees, must assess all the risks they incur, and implement the appropriate means of protection. In order to assess the risks associated with noise and vibration, it is necessary to be able to determine exposure levels, in particular by setting up noise and vibration monitoring points.

These checks will identify workstations where noise and vibration are excessive, who the exposed employees are, and what other noise and vibration measures need to be undertaken.
