5. Exploit the results

When the bow-tie is drawn up as part of an ESD for an ICPE, the PCIG decree at arrêté du 29 septembre 2005 requires the hazardous phenomena and potential accidents identified in the hazard study to be positioned on the probability scale presented in the "Probability scale" table. This scale comprises five probability classes ranging from A (most likely) to E (least likely). The occurrence values obtained by bow-tie quantification can then be compared with the regulatory scale. A probability class is therefore assigned to each hazardous event.
