 INTRODUCTION

To prevent and/or limit the consequences of a dreaded event, manufacturers implement safety barriers (or risk control measures). Depending on whether or not these barriers are functioning, the consequences observed will vary in terms of occurrence and intensity. In order to carry out an exhaustive analysis, we need a method that enables us to precisely define all observable consequences. The event tree method is recognized as an efficient way of doing this.
