Surrender

Right given to a landowner, in certain areas and under certain conditions, to give a public authority formal notice to acquire the land.

Expropriation in the public interest

Operation to deprive a landowner, against his will, of his property in the public interest.

Public utility easements

Administrative restrictions on property rights, instituted by a public authority in the general interest.
