4. Mistakes to avoid

4.1 Don't mix approaches

Once you've decided to use the analytical approach, you mustn't then use the results to adjust with coefficients or analogical methods. This would distort the estimates.

Working alone is a common mistake. Care must be taken to rely on task managers, who generally know the task very well, and who will contribute to the reliability of the estimate.
