7. Mistakes to avoid

Don't think that laser technology will solve all your assembly problems.

  • A laser is a source of concentrated energy, capable of delivering 100,000 W/cm 2 , while an infrared (IR) will deliver 100 to 300 W/cm 2 , and a hot-air flashlight 10 to 20 W/cm 2 for welding.

  • Before embarking on any major investment, check all your constraints and resources.
