 INTRODUCTION

You need to assemble complex parts, plates, sheets or films. You're looking for a permanent assembly that won't affect the initial geometry of the parts, or damage nearby electronic or chemical components. Laser welding is the ideal solution.

You know that the investment is significant and :

  • your quality requirements are very stringent: medical, aeronautical, automotive, food, electronics, etc. sectors;

  • you have very large series to produce;

  • your parts are unique and tooling is difficult to produce;

  • the shape of the welds is complex.

You work with thermoplastics, metals and, more generally, materials likely to melt under certain light frequencies. Laser is a solution that can meet your needs.

Let's take a first look at all the constraints involved in assembling thermoplastics.
