3. Rank and prioritize project risks and opportunities after analysis

Risk analysis is mainly characterized by the following attributes:

  • Root causes (uncertain event or circumstance) ;

  • the impact of the various possible scenarios in terms of costs, cash flow, schedule, quality, technical performance and customer satisfaction;

  • the action plan to mitigate the risk, with the person responsible for the action and the expected completion date;

  • status, with action progress ;

  • the risk owner, i.e. the people identified in the risk register as being responsible for carrying out controls, taking further action and monitoring specific risks.
