4. Perform functional analysis based on components

For each representative component of the project, a matrix functional analysis is carried out on the basis of all the elements external to the component. This analysis is based on an objective relationship between two external elements via the component (how does the component enable the two external elements to be associated?). In addition, constraint relationships can be constructed between the component and an external element (how does the external element constrain the component?).

In the following figure, we have fifteen FPs representing objectives linked to the "Structure" component and six FCs representing constraints on the "Structure" component.
