Function

Action on the product. A function is formulated by an infinitive verb followed by a complement. It must make no reference to solutions.

Parametric quotation

Cost calculation based on cost descriptor parameters and one or more equations linking these cost factors to the cost. Precise data must be available to serve as a reference for constructing the cost estimate.

Cost

Charge or expense incurred by an economic player as a result of the production or use of a product, or both.

Price

Monetary equivalent of a product in a commercial transaction.
