4. Creating the transfer matrix: understanding the mindset
This diagram will help you understand the mindset behind your transfer matrix.
For each technical function (TF), we therefore need to find the cost of the components involved in its realization.
Since components can be involved in the realization of several technical functions (TF), estimate the importance of each component per function.
Express this importance in relative terms: as a percentage.
You'll be forced to make choices and opt for different assumptions within your group. Find the right compromise between all the proposals.
It's not an exact science, and each working group will naturally have made slightly different assumptions. So you have to admit that the result is the fruit of your group work. Some results are better than others.
