3. Identify the root causes of potential discrepancies right from the start of the project

A deviation in the forecast at the end of a project is a common and important event in the life of a project. A thorough analysis of this deviation will enable us to take both remedial action to limit the impact and preventive action to avoid the deviation recurring in a new project, or worsening in the current project.

The sooner the gap is discovered and analyzed, the better your chances of reducing its impact.
