5. Mistakes to avoid

5.1 Don't forget to define risk management rules

The CSR will enable you to manage risks in great detail for each work package. Be careful, however, not to go into too much detail, to avoid the perverse effect of counting risks on risks and having them duplicated. Bear in mind that not all risks will occur, and that the role of the tool is to alert you to the most important risks, not to detail all possible risks.

To avoid this pitfall, define simple rules for taking risks into account (probability of occurrence greater than 50%, for example) and talk to batch managers to gain the necessary perspective on the risks presented.
