1. Understanding the concept of subcontracting

Subcontracting is the operation whereby you entrust to another person all or part of the services or work that you would normally perform if you had the necessary equipment, skills, time or personnel.

For example, you're an IT engineer and you're faced with a growing customer base that you're temporarily unable to meet. Under these circumstances, you would like to subcontract certain services, for reasons of economic opportunity.

Subcontracting is legally distinct from the following situations.
