Regulatory watch

There is no standard definition of this term. Here is a proposed definition:

"Activity, within an organization, aimed at ensuring that the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the quality management system and products are identified, kept up to date, and implemented so that the system and products comply with these requirements."

The term "regulatory watch" covers all types of texts: European directives, laws, decrees, standards, etc.

Legal and regulatory requirements

This general normative expression refers to applicable requirements resulting from all types of legislation. Here is the hierarchy of legal texts in France (Source: Mise en œuvre et amélioration de la qualité , Part 1 – Chapter 6, Éditions Weka):
