8.1 Don't use the parametric method outside its field of application
This method remains an estimation method in the early stages of a project, enabling decisions to be made on development methods or technological choices. It does not, however, dispense with the need to carry out a detailed analysis using analytical estimates before starting the project, and to budget as accurately as possible.
