5. Build a monthly dashboard

The management dashboard can be defined as a summary document providing a manager, reliably and rapidly, with the necessary and sufficient information to steer his activity and monitor the achievement of his financial and non-financial objectives.

The periodicity of a dashboard is highly variable. Daily dashboards can be combined with weekly and monthly dashboards, depending on the indicators they contain.

To be synthetic and complete, and to be consistent with the company's other dashboards, all dashboards must be defined according to the following logic:

  • link the dashboards together, starting at the top of the hierarchy and working down;

  • ensure that the content of a manager's dashboard is consistent with that of his or her line manager.
