4. Be proactive to avoid risk analysis updates

Schedule these risk and opportunity reviews. As early as the bid phase and at each review during project execution, you will need to :

  • review R&O when transferring from the bid team to the project execution team and optimize the project;

  • review R&O during design reviews;

  • review R&O during supply chain, procurement, manufacturing and transport reviews;

  • review R&O even more strictly on the site where external events can disrupt the project;

  • prioritize risks and opportunities in the R&O list using portfolio trend criteria and indicators.
