 INTRODUCTION

Gathering the wealth of information offered by scientific databases requires the use of tools that enable automatic analysis of this information. Most commercial databases offer a download format that structures the information (same format for all references).

From this, we can combine all the data present in the various documentary fields and create lists, networks and matrices. This information can be used to answer questions such as "who does what", "where", "how", "when", "with whom", and thus to define new scientific directions, implement innovation processes, find partnerships, benchmark authors and institutions, and so on.

Given the ever-increasing amount of information available, this is the only way to obtain relevant, strategic information on a given subject in the shortest possible time.
