4. Discover the most popular alternatives: Feedly, The Old Reader, NewsBlur and Pulse
Following the announcement of the closure of Google Reader, many websites have been looking for the best alternative. To this end, some sites created online questionnaires enabling a large number of users to have their say.
When analyzing the various possible alternatives, we took as our starting point one of the questionnaires proposed by the LifeHacker.com website. Out of a total of 7,522 votes cast, Internet users highlighted the following solutions: Feedly (4,867 votes), The Old Reader (1,316 votes), NewsBlur (486 votes), Pulse (452 votes) and Netvibes (401 votes).
These results are confirmed by numerous articles comparing different online solutions, and by our own test of the 20 services most often cited as alternatives to Google Reader. Here we take a look at four online platforms.
