INTRODUCTION
Solutions dedicated to competitive intelligence are sometimes complex to implement and difficult to integrate into current collaboration tools.
SharePoint, for whom and what?
Published by Microsoft since 2001, the SharePoint platform is now in its 5th major release! Initially focused on document collaboration, SharePoint is opening up to new forms of collaboration, notably through corporate social networks.
Particularly well-suited to monitoring multiple document collections, the platform's openness and integration capabilities with the web, social networks and business applications make it just as effective for implementing competitive or sector-specific monitoring solutions.
Total, Air Liquide, Airbus... it's hard to find a CAC 40 company that doesn't use SharePoint in one or other of its divisions. That said, its use often remains focused on its original use for collaborative document applications.
A particularly active user club, UGSF (User Group SharePoint France), is open to all. It meets about six times a year, on Microsoft premises, and offers functional and technical sessions on all SharePoint-related topics.
In this fact sheet, we'll show you how to use SharePoint to set up a simple and effective competitive intelligence platform.
