8.1 Don't think of PoP as a conventional documentation tool
It can be adapted to this purpose by using multi-criteria search, but it is above all dedicated to determining the profile of a researcher or group of researchers, looking for the "best" (most cited) publications in a field. It is also useful for assessing the impact of a journal or publication outside the WoS system.
