4. Manage the reserve and release of additional funds

Over the months, when you monitor the variations in your explorers' expenses, you can manage your fund reserve and, depending on its level, you can decide to take certain measures:

• propose that your organization launch new explorations and allocate part of this reserve to finance them (always with the idea of an acceptable loss);

• use this reserve to meet your organization's need to speed up certain explorations;

• "return" all or part of this budget to your funders.

If an exploration stops during the year, pay the residual unused budget into the reserve.
