5. Define an integration strategy

The integration strategy must enable organizational learning on the "Environment" dimension. Two points need to be addressed:

  • the means to be implemented to ensure systematic use of the eco-design reference framework;

  • generating organizational learning on environmental requirements.

5.1 Ensuring that your requirements are taken into account

Firstly, the integrator needs to determine the milestone(s) in the innovation process at which the eco-design framework should be used. It is recommended not to integrate the reference framework either too far upstream in the design and innovation process –, as the innovative element would be at the stage of a more or less vague...
