 INTRODUCTION

As soon as a watchdog connects to the web from his or her workstation, whether for professional or personal reasons, his or her IP address immediately identifies him or her as belonging to the company. Searches, keywords and topics of interest can be analyzed by cross-referencing information. This raises the question of the impact of tracking the activity of a company's web watchers. A number of risks have been identified in the event of detection: blacklisting, incomplete information, disinformation, etc.

In order to ensure more discreet monitoring, this fact sheet presents the means and solutions to be implemented to circumvent or reduce the risks of monitoring activity being detected.
