5. Detecting and eliminating duplicates
It is regularly necessary to detect and eliminate duplicates in the database (authors/journals/keywords). In fact, even if you are careful when importing or manually entering references, duplicates or incorrectly entered terms may persist. Take advantage of a quiet day to regroup synonyms or clean up your database.
So, in the following example, we can harmonize the authors, as some have one of their first names in full, while the others have only initials.
