3. Setting realistic targets for each ACI

First of all, for each of the selected ACIs, you need to define a reference value, corresponding to the current situation (or the one measured during the initial environmental assessment).

Then, following a dialogue with the experts concerned, you set a target value for each ACI that is both ambitious and achievable, as well as a deadline for reaching this target.

Finally, you link, where appropriate, the contribution (potential or actual) of the eco-innovative projects undertaken to each of the ACIs.

Johnson Matthey example

For waste to landfill, a target of zero waste to landfill has been set. For the other 4 indicators, a reduction by half has been set as a target over a 10-year period, from 2007 to 2017.
