The eco-design of products and services is no longer seen as a constraint, but as an opportunity for differentiation and innovation. Many companies that are already aware of this issue are facing implementation challenges.

The purpose of this fact sheet is to provide tools and methods for assessment and recommendations commonly used in eco-design, with an emphasis on the following aspects:

  • implementation of these tools;

  • type of information generated and its future use;

  • type and level of expertise required for their implementation;

  • issues addressed by these tools.
