Validation

Confirmation through examination and provision of objective evidence that the requirements, for an intended use or application, have been met (ISO 9000). In other words, verification activities ensure that the definition is correct, in accordance with the state of the art.

Check

Confirmation by examining and providing objective evidence that specified requirements have been met (ISO 9000). In other words, validation activities verify that the definition meets the need (stakeholder requirements).

Validation support

The object on which validation tests are carried out. It can be a physical support or a model.
