2. Is it possible to patent an aesthetic creation with a technical aspect?

In principle, an aesthetic creation is an object whose characteristics are subject to subjective appreciation and whose purpose is not technical. Such creations may be protected by copyright and/or design law (see Design protection in France [FIC 1606] ).

That said, it is not uncommon for the technical and aesthetic aspects of a creation to overlap, for example when a technical object has an aesthetic character (e.g. a vehicle headlight), or when a technical method is used to achieve an aesthetic result (e.g. a painting process).
