3. Typology of situations encountered

The typology of situations can be based on the main criteria that characterize open innovation, in particular :

  • the intensity of interactions with the organization's environment ;

  • exchange themes, which can be predefined or completely open-ended;

  • the level of control over openness to outside organizations (selected partners or openness to all partners);

  • governance within the framework of rules established in co-construction ;

  • strategy based on the co-construction of offering concepts;

  • practice of the different forms and tools specific to open innovation.
